Heart Shaped Butterfly Painting: Black and Pink Acrylics on Canvas

This little painting means a lot to me. I painted it in the middle of heartbreak and it ended up saying everything I couldn’t put into words.
The top butterfly feels torn apart, falling apart, while the one at the bottom is perfect.. just not mine.
Sometimes we build entire worlds out of our own tears and hands for someone else and they thrive there but we feel lost.
This one is for anyone who’s ever felt that contrast, broken in their world while creating a perfect one for someone else.

I painted it with tears in my eyes, feeling more broken than ever - just so sad, so out of my world... it means a world to me, and part of me wants to keep it forever, but I believe that it can bring a joy and/or perhaps also a healing to somebody else. after more than a year and half, I am ready to say goodbye. :) 

The painting is finished with a satin to protect the colors and give it an extra shine.
